Roots in Commercial Kitchens

Avondale Commercial Solutions is the next phase in my life of working and living in commercial kitchens. As a child, my family owned Barber's Restaurant Equipment Repairs still in business today after over 50 years in Hamilton, Ontario. It was at an early age when I learned what a thermocouple was and how to do inventory on parts. Fast forward to getting married to a chef and owning and operating a quick service independent restaurant in Vancouver, BC, I learned all about efficiency and fast paced work environments!  

After relocating back to Hamilton, Ontario in 2010, Avondale Restaurant Equipment was born with the help and guidance of my late father, Paul Barber, and after 13 years working in the commercial kitchen equipment space, I decided to move in to the consulting side of food service and closed down the equipment dealership component to the business in 2023.  

Working with clients and their spaces, new or old, is the work that I love! And, the ins and outs of commercial kitchens are not always easy. From permit applications to designing your kitchen and layout to finding equipment that is right for your needs and menu, many decisions need to be made along the way! I am here to help!
